Here can you find everything about Danmarks smukkeste festival : http://www.smukfest.dk/ It's in danish, but if you click on Artist info, there is a presentation in english and you will also know everything about the lights, the sound and the power they use, if you should take a band with you ;). It's in the second week end of August, the other big name is apparently Green Day :( but Lisa Ekdahl is playing too and last year's most interesting danish band : Sorten Muld. They play old danish folk songs (middle age) with a techno sound, weird. They won a danish grammy as best danish techno band and the song Ravnen ( The Raven ) from the album Mark II is a big hit on the radio. They also play in Kolding, friday the 13th. The other "big" festival you can reach from Germany, without taking a Ferry is Midtfyns festival in Ringe near Odense, but usually the music sucks even more. This year big name is Aerosmith :(( More info at : http://www.mf.dk/ here can you find everything about all the festivals in Denmark. http://www.jubii.dk/KulturOgSamfund/Musik/Musikfestivaler/ PS. I send a copy to the list, it may interests other people. And some BIG news (at least for me): Brian Paulson who has produced Son Volt, Wilco, Superchunk, The Jayhawks, Archers of loaf among others are most likely to produce the next Loosegoats-album. The work will probably take place the coming summer. Take care!
