None at all....so I search my mind trying to imagine what they are! Someone on the Stina list mentioned they saw her live once, singing "My Funny Valentine". Maybe they will be jazz standards? Who knows. I can't imagine. Her background is really hardcore jazz, Coltrane and people in his league. I don't know if she was ever really into rock or not. I I think that the concert where held in Broby, north of Stockholm, and the band Vit Aggression, was on the backdrop in Swedish TV. The Police got some new regulations, so they have increased their authority and power for this kind of arrestment. You could probably find more on the net... OK, but isn't it time for you to check the new scene out? Here is your opportunity: on Thursday, 29th of January, the gothenburg "post rock" trio IOTA, play the BLINDA ASNAN in malmo. they have also invited the guest-performer Andreas J. to play percussions and some organs on the show. In a few weeks IOTA will release their debut 7" EP on the swedish slowball label. A pretty unique release i must ad. We hope that the single will be released just in time for the event. You are all invited. Be there or be []. Other slowball-releases set up for january/february is a 7" by sweish electronicans PLUXUS, an LP by the belgian Wonder-boy WIO, a split tape with AUTRO & GALOUCH. Info on these items will come. Slowball has also re-released that old Push Kings 7" and we have a few copies left of the PHLEGM/6 CENTS & NATALIE split 7". A few tape-releases are still avalible too. Write for info. (for those of you who remember the stockholm-krautstock plans we can tell you that the plans just were too enthustiastic. Instead we will arrange a release party for the IOTA 7" and the PLUXUS 7". It will take place in stockholm, probably in february, and both bands will play live + more good music will be served. More details will come. warmest regards, ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Jan 1998 12:00:54 EST From: Cardigans1 Subject: Re: Re: bob hund @ alternative nation someone in Sweden want to record the bob hund video for an american???? please??? jason ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Jan 1998 18:25:20 +0200 From: ig@mindless.com Subject: Re: Re: bob hund @ alternative nation > someone in Sweden want to record the bob hund video for an american???? > > please??? send me 4 IRC's and an blank tape and i tape it for you in NTSC. j. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 07 Jan 1998 21:47:14 +0100 From: Erik Soderstrom Subject: Re: Yum Yum's At 07:29 1998-01-07 +0200, Timo Riitamaa wrote: >> A quick request for help/info on a band called "Yum Yum's" from >> Finland - has anyone heard anything about them? Aha - I guess that's a close enough country to be probable. Found this one when searching for them +Norway (not Finland this time ;)): http://www.butaman.or.jp:8000/~optrec/yumyums.html which has a biography and a review of "Sweet as Candy" describing them as playing "power punk-pop". And I saw them mentioned on the Hellacopters mailing list as a band people listen to when not listening to the Hellacopters so harder (punk) rock is probably very probable. Anyone know if they can be contacted over the net?
